The shock tubes on all TFX shocks are made from high-strength AL6082-T6 aluminum. The shock piston rods measure an extra-strong 16 mm. Spring preload is infinitely adjustable using a hook wrench included in the package. The rebound damping on all shock versions is adjustable via a handwheel with 40 clicks. Due to space constraints, the diameter of the shock tubes on the 130, 131, and 132 models is only 36 mm.
On the models in the 140, 141, and 142 series, the diameter of the shock tubes is a substantial 46 mm. On most shock absorbers in the 141 and 142 series, the compression stage is adjustable via 32 clicks in the low- and high-speed ranges. The springs are black powder-coated, all aluminum parts are high-quality black anodized, and the adjustment components are blue anodized.

The TFX shock absorber from the 130 Series is the motorcycle shock absorber for budget-conscious riders or is often used as a replacement for factory-standard shock absorbers in the event of a defect. Available as a mono-shock or twin-shock for conventional rear-wheel suspension via a swingarm. Thanks to its modular design, individual parts or wear parts can be easily replaced as needed. Even with this shock absorber type, the rebound damping is adjustable via a dial and the spring preload via a hook wrench.
Inside the shock absorber, the gas (nitrogen) and oil are separated by a dividing piston, preventing foaming during riding. For this product as well, we ask for all important parameters—such as payload, riding speed, road conditions, etc.—when you place your order, allowing us to custom-configure the correct shock absorber for each customer.
TFX Motorcycle Shock Absorbers from the 131 Series
The TFX 131 motorcycle shock absorber was developed for vehicles with limited installation space. The shock tube has a diameter of only 36 mm, but the piston rod and all other components feature the reinforced dimensions of the larger series. In this version, the external reservoir is connected to the shock absorber via a hose, which also helps the shock absorber take up less space. The reservoir is mounted in a suitable location using clamps; as with other shock absorber types, the reservoir serves to increase the gas volume and aids in cooling the operating fluids during riding. The shock absorber is manufactured from high-quality materials. The housing is CNC-milled from 6082 T6 aluminum and black anodized after machining. The inner piston diameter is 36 mm, and the piston rod measures a substantial 16 mm. The rebound damping is adjustable via a control wheel with 40 clicks; the compression damping is adjustable in 32 stages in the low-speed range and separately in the high-speed range. The spring preload is continuously adjustable via two slotted nuts using the hook wrenches included in the delivery.

The TFX shock absorbers from the 132 series are designed for the discerning rider for whom only the best is good enough. This shock absorber model is also available for BMW motorcycles with Paralever front suspension. The TFX Type 132 features an external gas reservoir; this design allows for an increased gas volume, further improving performance and responsiveness. During riding, the gas is optimally cooled by the external reservoir. Thanks to the modular design, individual components or wear parts can be easily replaced as needed. With this high-quality TFX shock absorber, the spring preload is also infinitely adjustable using the included hook wrench, while the rebound damping is adjusted via clicks on the adjustment wheel.

TFX Shock Absorbers from the 140 Series
TFX shock absorbers from the 140 Series, designed for rear-end mounting, are specifically engineered for motorcycle models with sufficient space for a 46mm-diameter shock absorber. Shock absorbers from the 140 Series feature stepless adjustment of spring preload and rebound damping. The TFX 140 is available for all common monoshock motorcycles. All TFX motorcycle shock absorbers have a modular design; individual parts or wear parts can be replaced at any time.
The technical separation of the gas (nitrogen) and oil chambers via a dividing piston prevents foaming and the formation of an emulsion within the shock absorber. The formation of an emulsion would severely limit the shock absorber’s performance and responsiveness. Every shock absorber ordered is custom-made to the rider’s specifications and needs.
TFX 141 Monoshock Shock Absorber with Expansion Tank
The TFX 141 Monoshock shock absorber comes equipped with an external expansion tank connected to the shock absorber via a connecting hose. The TFX 141 is used on vehicles with limited space where the installation of a shock absorber with a fixed reservoir is not possible. On the 141 model, the reservoir is simply mounted at a suitable location on the rear of the frame using the clamps provided.
In this motorcycle shock absorber as well, the gas charge (consisting of nitrogen) and the oil charge are separated from one another by a dividing piston. This prevents foaming of the gas and oil. Thanks to the shock absorber’s modular design, individual components or wear parts can be replaced at any time. The TFX 141 features an adjustable rebound damping; the compression damping even has two separate adjustment ranges, one for high-speed and one for low-speed. As with all TFX products, the spring preload is infinitely adjustable using a hook wrench. Before shipment, we also ask the rider about all important parameters regarding load, route type, and riding style.

The TFX 142 is a top-of-the-line product for the discerning rider; it comes with an external reservoir that is permanently mounted to the shock body. Spring preload is infinitely adjustable; rebound and compression damping are selectable via clicks, with compression damping even adjustable separately for high-speed and low-speed settings. All components in contact with the material, such as the piston rod and the shock absorber piston, have low friction coefficients. This allows for precise tuning to meet all individual requirements.
