3P operates as a developer of unconventional solutions in all areas of mobility. We have also successfully implemented many projects for our customers in the electric mobility segment, including e-bikes, electric scooters, mobility scooters, and small passenger cars. For example, we have successfully completed projects such as power reductions on electric scooters to convert them into moped-class scooters, reducing the speed of mobility scooters to 6 km/h to qualify as registration-exempt vehicles, and converting lighting to LED headlights, including the preparation of expert reports. We assisted Toyota Belgium with the homologation of an electric small van. The vehicle was extensively modified by 3P in areas such as the electrical system, tires, license plate holder, etc. The vehicle is currently in use by the French postal service, among others.

Power Limitation Kits for Electric Vehicles

We don’t just develop power limitation kits for vehicles with internal combustion engines; we are also a market leader in the field of electric mobility. We are constantly expanding our range of power limitation kits for electric vehicles. In addition to conversion kits that limit vehicles to 25 km/h for drivers with a moped license, we also reduce these vehicles to 20 km/h. Once converted, the helmet requirement is waived for this vehicle class. A practical side effect here is the extended range achieved through the reduced power.

Thanks to our long-standing relationships with various testing organizations and government agencies, we have an extensive network and can respond flexibly to customer requests, even in the field of electric mobility. We are certified as a manufacturer by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (Kraftfahrtbundesamt) and are subject to strict quality management standards. We are currently working on the homologation of an electric bicycle equipped with a 3,000-watt electric motor, which, at our customer’s request, will be converted into an L3e-class motorcycle. We also develop customized solutions in the field of electric mobility to meet our customers’ specific needs.
